No Perfect Answers

True freedom lies in the realization and calm acceptance of the fact that there may very well be no perfect answer.

Our decisions are not always tidy. There are loose ends. There are wants and needs unmet. We make a compromise. That's okay. Whether we're looking for the perfect job or working through a family conflict, we experience situations in which we cannot get all our own way at the same time. Our life here is not Utopian. It is collaborative though, and that can be satisfying.

When I accept there is not going to be an answer that makes everyone 100 percent happy, I free myself to consider a multitude of options for compromise.
