We can be guarded when caring for others and helping them with their problems. What if their issues drain us? What if they take up a lot of time? When we reach out to others in compassion, we discover that the reaching out creates its own energy. Love provides its own time and resources. The others' burdens do not weigh us down when we let love carry the load.
I won't be afraid of having compassion for others. I trust that love will fuel my actions.
