With loved ones, at work, and in world events, it's true that talk can be cheap. People may tell us who they wish they were, or what they hope to do someday, but we learn an individual's chararcter through how he or she acts. That takes time and observation.
Eventually, we begin to discern on what levels we can actually trust people. We learn they have a track record of carrying out---Commitments. That is what we wind up trusting, regardless of spoken words.
I will watch people's actions to discern their character. What they do is a truer expression of their level of integrity than their words
